Getting back into the swing of things!!!
Well it is back to school time for everybody! Everyday around 10 AM Alyssa Jane asks me to wake up Seany. I tell her that brother is awake but he is at school. Then she remembers and continues on playing. I am a bad mom. I forgot to take pictures on the first day of school. Oops! We also got a new dog this week. Her name is Dee and she is a Rat Terrier. I got her from a breeder that decided to retire from breeding and wanted to find her adult dogs homes. She is four years old and was very well taken care of. She is sweet and smart and is enjoying her new home. The kids like her alot as well.

The boys have "Gone Fishin"!!!

Well my boy is off once again on one of his endless summer adventures! Thanks to grandparents he seems to be always on the go somewhere. This week he is off with my in-laws. Meme and Papa are taking Sean and Kyle to the lake for four days. They have fun together and I am sure they will have a great time making memories.

AJ dressing herself!!!

AJ came out of her room very proud of herself. She shirt, skirt, shoes and sunglasses. All purple. Then she accessorised with her two headbands. She was just looking at me with a huge smile and I could tell that she wanted me to say something. I told her that she looked so pretty and that I loved how everything matched. So I just had to take a picture.Saturday, August 2, 2008

MY SISTER
A few post ago I wrote how I was going to start a little posting project and start writing about my family members. I thought I would start with my sister Patricia.
She is about two years older than my brother Brian and three years older than me. We grew up together on the farm playing with dolls and getting dirty in the mud. We would hop in the back of our Dads pick-up and go to the fields to check on the crops. We played a lot and we fought a lot. We drove each other crazy at times but I will admit I did enjoy the arguments. It was fun running away from her or me running after her making the usual childish threats. We never beat each other up to bad. Just a hit here or a kick there. That is probably why I don’t have bad memories of our fights. We shared a room with each other until I was about 11 or 12. I never told her but I was sad when she got her own room. We would get on each others nerve but I always had a chance to talk to her and we would play with each other in our room. But when she moved to her own room she had her own space and I really did miss her. The first night I sleep in my room by myself I cried a little.
My sister always did well in school. She was in the honor society and was in the top 10% of her class. She was, and is, one of the smartest people I know. She always does well with things like logic puzzles and anything like that. When I beat her at any game I get very happy and maybe rub it in a bit because I don’t beat her much.
She is a good aunt and loves my kids with all her heart. They call her Trishie. She and my parents take my son with them on trips like camping or flying to Washington state. Next summer they are going to take him to Washington D.C. They make great memories with my kids.
Tricia also has some hobbies that she really enjoys and loves. One of them is knitting. Once she flew to Seattle to see one of her favorite knitters. (She used her flyer miles.) She loves to kayak as well. She goes camping all the time to kayak.
I can be my 'crazy and silly' self around her. (She has to be use to it by now.) I never have to worry what she thinks of me because I know she will just always love me no matter what. I love my sister and am so thankful to have her in my life.

WHEN I SAY, "I AM A CHRISTIAN"
I found this poem as I was on the net. Some may have read it before. I love it. This expresses my attitude a feelings about being a Christian. Enjoy!
WHEN I SAY, "I AM A CHRISTIAN"
When I say, "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting, "I’ve been saved!"
I'm whispering, "I get lost!
That's why I chose this way"
I'm not shouting, "I’ve been saved!"
I'm whispering, "I get lost!
That's why I chose this way"
When I say, "I am a Christian"
I don't speak with human pride
I'm confessing that I stumble—
Needing God to be my guide
I don't speak with human pride
I'm confessing that I stumble—
Needing God to be my guide
When I say, "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong
I'm professing that I'm weak
And pray for strength to carry on
I'm not trying to be strong
I'm professing that I'm weak
And pray for strength to carry on
When I say, "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success
I'm admitting that I've failed
And cannot ever pay the debt
I'm not bragging of success
I'm admitting that I've failed
And cannot ever pay the debt
When I say, "I am a Christian"
I don't think I know it all
I submit to my confusion
Asking humbly to be taught
I don't think I know it all
I submit to my confusion
Asking humbly to be taught
When I say, "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are all too visible
But God believes I'm worth it
I'm not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are all too visible
But God believes I'm worth it
When I say, "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartache,
Which is why I seek His name
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartache,
Which is why I seek His name
When I say, "I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge
I have no authority...
I only know I'm loved
I do not wish to judge
I have no authority...
I only know I'm loved

New blogging project...
I thought of a new blogging activity for me to do. It will be in two parts. I will take a member of my family and write some stuff about them. Then I will have a Q & A session with them. I will have them answer some questions that I want to ask them and post them. I thought it would be fun to highlight a member of my family and let people know how important they are to me. I am going to start with my sister. So it is in the works and will be coming soon.

I love the USA!!!!

Happy Independence Day!!!
Over 230 years ago our forefathers started a revolution. It was not just a revolution with men and guns but a revolution of the hearts and minds of the people of America. People do not understand today what an amazing idea these Patriots had in mind. To have laws rule the land and not kings, dictators, or tyrants in power was a very astonishing idea. And these forefathers did not seek power for themselves but fought to put the power in the hands of the people to control their own future. Here are some quotes from our Revolutionary Fathers.
Thomas Jefferson "Love your neighbor as yourself and your country more than yourself."
George Washington "Our cause is noble; it is the cause of mankind!"
James Madison "Happily for America, happily, we trust, for the whole human race, they pursued a new and more noble course. They accomplished a revolution which has no parallel in the annals of human society."
Thomas Paine "We have it in our power to begin the world over again."
John Adams "Objects of the most stupendous magnitude, and measure in which the lives and liberties of millions yet unborn are intimately interested, are now before us. We are in the very midst of a revolution the most complete, unexpected and remarkable of any in the history of nations."
John Adams "Objects of the most stupendous magnitude, and measure in which the lives and liberties of millions yet unborn are intimately interested, are now before us. We are in the very midst of a revolution the most complete, unexpected and remarkable of any in the history of nations."
God bless America
